Lindsay joined BCA Certifiers (Aust) Pty Ltd in 2019 after 35 years of employment in the construction industry and the Department of Defence. He has qualifications and experience in electrical engineering, fire engineering, building surveying and building design for bushfire prone areas.

During his career, Lindsay has been involved in significant construction projects such as the New Parliament House in Canberra (Electrical Engineering), the Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC) in Bungendore (Fire Engineering), and high rise mixed use residential projects in Canberra such as Mezzo, Palko Nibu, Salt and Yamaroshi (Building Surveying). These projects, and invariably many others, have involved the assessment and approval of complex building designs, performance-based building solutions, and liaison with Federal, State and Territory Departments and Agencies. Lindsay was also a National Member of Engineers Australia Society of Fire Safety (SFS) – Façade Safety Design, Practice Guide Committee (2018)
